The Premium adds measurement: a comprehensive inspection of the duct and termination, an airflow reading taken before and after the clean, and before and after photos of your run. Choose Premium if you want proof of the result — before a home sale, for an association record, or because the dryer has been taking two cycles and you want to know why.
When the duct run is over 25 feet. Long runs need more rod sections, more passes, and usually work from both ends, so it adds $40. We ask about run length when you call, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
The termination is the hood on the outside of the building. It needs replacing when the flap is broken, painted shut, or when someone has fitted a screened cap — screens are not permitted on a dryer vent under IMC 504 because lint catches on the mesh. A replacement is $135 fitted, and we will show you the old one.
